Devil's Due Publishing has announced the publication of a comic book adaptation of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's original Dragonlance trilogy, which will begin with the August release of the first comic in an eight-issue series by Andrew Dabb and Steve Kurth adapting Dragons of the Autumn Twilight, the first book in the Dragonlance Chronicles.  The full color comic book, which was licensed from Hasbro Properties Group, will ship monthly with a cover price of $2.95.

Wizards of the Coast recently announced the publication of Weis & Hickman's The Dark Chronicles, a new trilogy of Dragonlance novels (see 'WotC to Publish New Dragonlance Novels'), which should bring even more interest to the property.  Devil's Due, which has acquired the license to publish comics based on Dungeons & Dragons properties from WotC (see 'Devil's Due Licenses D&D'), previously published a comic book adaptation of Richard Knaak's Dragonlance novel, A Legend of Huma and has announced another comic book series based on the Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
