Many dislike Rich Johnston's muckraking in the comic world, so it's no surprise in CSI: Dying in the Gutters that he gets offed. Now the CSI gang has a five issue miniseries launching in August to solve the mystery of
A veritable who's who of the comic industry lends their likenesses to join in tongue-in-cheek fun. Those making cameos in the series include Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, Ed Brubaker, Peter David, Ben Templesmith, Jim Mahfood, George Perez, Marc Silverstri and even Stan Lee.
The title will feature multiple covers featuring the comic celebs in the issue, including self portrait images from Templsemith and Mahfood as well as a Peter David depiction from J.K. Woodward.
IDW will lend strong marketing support to the miniseries with special promotional materials will hit retailers starting in June including a 'Wanted' poster on June 7 and an ashcan edition with 11 pages of the story on June 21. A five page preview of the first issue will appear in the June issues of IDW comics.
