Rick Remender is taking Fear Agent, a science fiction saga featuring 'everyone's favorite drunken alien exterminator,' from Image Comics to Dark Horse's creator-owned line.  In February Dark Horse will reprint the first Fear Agent trade paperback (previously released by Image) as well as publish the first edition of a new trade paperback Fear Agent collection.  Dark Horse will then begin publishing the regular monthly issues of Fear Agent in the spring of 2007.  Remender's colleagues on the series, the Eisner Award-nominated artist Tony Moore and the Russ Manning Award-winning Jerome Opena will continue their work on Fear Agent at Dark Horse.

Another creator-owned property, Rex Mundi, recently moved from Image to Dark Horse -- and the announcement last week that Johnny Depp was to star in a Hollywood adaptation of Rex Mundi (see 'Johnny Depp to Do Rex Mundi') could well explain why the creators of intriguing comics with modest circulations like Fear Agent are moving to Dark Horse.
