Roleplaying game download retailer DriveThruRPG has announced the tremendous success of its recent Charity Bundle Drive.  The fund-raising program earned more than $65,000 dollars, which is being donated to the non-profit group Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres) to assist with their programs to aid survivors of the recent floods in Pakistan.

Marketing manager Sean Patrick Fannon stated, “The response of the publishers and the customers blew us away.  I am proud to be part of this community, and I am grateful for its capacity for generosity.”

The program offered a bundle of donated game products, supplied by game publishers, at a special price.  Proceeds from the sales are destined for charitable actions in Pakistan.  “Contributions like this enable us to provide assistance to those affected by the floods in Pakistan, through programs focused on delivering safe drinking water, providing shelter for the displaced, medical and nutritional care, and essential relief supplies,” said director of development Jennifer Tierney of Doctors Without Borders.

Doctors Without Borders is an international humanitarian non-profit organization devoted to providing medical and other aid to more than 60 countries.

This is the second charitable drive led by DriveThruRPG and its sister website DriveThruComics.  The first drive supported relief efforts in Haiti (see “Haiti Relief Total $178,900”).
