At the recent Retailer Summit in Las Vegas, Upper Deck was displaying prototypes for Gregory Horror Show, its upcoming anime-based CMG hybrid. The property is only available on Japanese TV at this time, although it can occasionally be seen in the U.S. on the International Channel. The basic story is of a haunted hotel where Gregory, a mouse, helps the protagonist navigate around and attempt to take control of three monster-infested rooms and escape. The game will cross categories, with the starter pack to include 90 cards, one painted plastic miniature, a game mat, markers, rules, and a die. MSRP for the starter pack is $14.99. Expansion packs will each include two miniatures with a suggested MSRP of $3.99. There will initially be 24 different miniatures available, including 18 common, 4 common, and 2 rare designs. Although some distributors solicited this product as shipping in October or November, 2001, it will actually appear in January 2002.
