Animation Insider is reporting that Funimation Productions will unveil three new anime acquisitions this summer.  The acquisitions will be announced at different anime conventions, beginning with AKON in Dallas, Texas on May 30.  The second property will be announced at the Fanime show in Santa Clara in June, and the third at Anime Expo in Anaheim on July 3.

One of the Funimation announcements is likely to involve a property that has the potential to be a major force in the U.S. anime market for years to come.  It will be very, very big news indeed, the biggest announcement since the acquisition of North American rights for Yu-Gi-Oh!  Stay tuned for further details.
