Today it was announced that Madelaine Petsch will play redhead Cheryl Blossom. She will join Archie who will be played by KJ Apa, Jughead played by Cole Sprouse, Betty Cooper played by Lili Reinhart, and Josie played by Ashleigh Murray.  Luke Perry has been cast as Archie Andrews’s father Fred.

Vanessa Hudgens has been cast to star in NBC’s DC Comics comedy Powerless,  The Wrap reported. The Warner Bros. Television-produced sitcom has also cast Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk, and Christina Kirk in supporting roles, according to Variety. The single-camera show is set at one of the worst insurance companies in America, which deals with the massive damage claims filed in the wake of DC superheroes having a normal, everyday, action-filled adventure. The show will use “recognizable” superheroes, one network exec already assured viewers (see “Geek TV News Round-Up”).
