Dynamite announced the 350-page Art of Atari art book in April (see “'The Art of Atari' Video Game Retrospective”). The highly limited Deluxe Edition will include a sturdy slipcase capturing the design of vintage game packaging, a unique “game cartridge” cover design, an Atari Vault Steam Key allowing fans to play 100 of the most popular iconic games, and a frame-able limited edition print of new artwork by Atari artist Cliff Spohn. MSRP is $99.99, and release is planned for October.
The hardcover treasury The Best of Vampirella Magazine Art Edition is planned for September release. The collection includes actual storyboard artwork, scanned in high-resolution color, to capture the artwork as originally illustrated, with blue lines, collections, editorial notes and other creative elements intact. There are more than a dozen tales from the 1970s including contributions by Jeffrey Jones, Auraleon, Jose Ortiz, and Luis Bermejo among others. MSRP is $150.00.
