Netflix has published a preview for the upcoming reboot of Mystery Science Theater 3000, which will release on the streaming service on April 14.

The cult TV show premiered on local Minneapolis, Minnesota TV in 1988, and was later picked up by Comedy Central, and The Sci-Fi Channel. The series followed Joel Robinson, who is trapped against his will by two mad scientists on the Satellite of Love and forced to watch B movies to see how it affects him. Joel builds robot companions to keep him company and help keep up a running commentary while the movies play.  The new series stars Jonah Ray as the new test subject and Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt as the mad scientists.

Dark Horse Comics announced a new partnership with MST3K last month that will include a new comic series and licensed merchandise (see “Dark Horse Partners with 'MST3K'”).
