The Board Game Sleeves come in eight different sizes, which match the majority of board games in general release. Sizes range from the Mini (41 x 63 mm) for small American card games to Extra Large (65 x 100 mm) slightly larger than CCG size and Oversize (79 x 120 mm) for Tarot-size cards. There is also a Square size (70 x 70 mm) available. Arcane Tinmen have a list of more than 120 popular American and Euro-games listed on the website, along with recommended card sleeve size. The sleeves are available in classic glossy or non-glare styles.
The Dragon Shield brand is one of the most recognized collectible card sleeve lines in the world, known for strength and durability. At Gen Con, the company previewed new deck boxes, limited edition playmats, portfolios, and #d slipcase binders. The limited edition playmats (24" x 13 3/4") feature stitched and round edges, and come packaged in a triangular carrying case with a random limited edition collectible coin. The coin can be combined with the notches on the playmat case to keep track of life totals in a game. Story lore is now available on the back of Dragon Shield boxes, and on the Dragon Shields website.
Arcane Tinmen has begun expanding the mythology of their striking artwork, now including snippets of stories of the warring dragons of Arcania on releases. Though they have been known to coexist with mankind, especially when forces of darkness threaten the kingdom, the dragons are now threatened by a dark wizard, who has discovered the Wyrm Gate, which leads to other dimensions, where he seeks to recruit an army to steal the Dragon Shields for himself.
This summer, when Asmodee NA announced it was going exclusive with Alliance Game Distributors, Arcane Tinmen chose to discontinue their business cooperation with Asmodee to maintain a broader distribution network for its products (see “Rolling for Initiative--Target Gets Exclusives, while Arcane Tinmen Gives Up Exclusivity.”).
