King and Gabok’s story finds Swamp Thing shepherding a lost boy through a blizzard, where they face a bloodthirsty snow monster while Swamp Thing is stripped of his powers. The bonus story by Wein is his last Swamp Thing tale and was originally intended as the start of a new series. It is presented in its script form with illustrations by Kelley.
Wein passed away earlier this month (see “R.I.P. Len Wein”), and Swamp Thing co-creator Bernie Wrightson passed away in March (see “R.I.P. Bernie Wrightson”).
