DC Comics: The Art of Darwyn Cooke includes more than 20 additional pieces not included previously in the publisher’s hardcover retrospective, Graphic Ink: The DC Comics Art of Darwyn Cooke. The trade gathers together work from Cooke’s earliest days on, including stories from Talent Showcase #19 (1985), Batman: Gotham Knights, Legion Worlds, JSA All Stars, Jonah Hex, and more.
A much-admired and Eisner Award-winning artist, Cooke passed away in 2016 after a bout with aggressive cancer (see “R.I.P. Darwyn Cooke”).
