Capitalizing on its combative card game Poker Assault, Cryptozoic Entertainment has announced the first licensed spin-off game Street Fighter V Poker Assault releasing in July.

Players can revel in the powers and special abilities each combat themed deck brings to a classic game of poker. Each player uses a themed 52-card poker deck which contains several cards with bonus abilities that aid it mounting an Assault on another player or Defending against one. There are also easier ways to draft a straight or better, earning the player Critical Arts Cards which unleash instant effects or grant an ongoing tactical advantage.

The box includes two 52-card decks, 12 Critical Arts Cards, 20 cardboard poker chips, and a rulebook. The gave is for 2 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 15 – 30 minutes. MSRP is $20.00.

Licensed from Capcom, Street Fighter V was a 2016 release for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows, a recent edition of the enduring side-scrolling fight game franchise. Poker Assault was released in late 2016 (see “Cryptozoic Announces 'Poker Assault'”). Cryptozoic announced many other exciting games at New York Toy Fair (see “Preview: 'The Pickle Rick Game,' 'DC Deck-Building Game - Rebirth,' More”).
