Jeff Lemire’s Black Hammer Universe expands into the future with The Quantum Age: From the World of Black Hammer launching from Dark Horse on July 4.

Set in the same world as the Eisner Award-winning Black Hammer series (see “'Saga' Stands Out at the 2017 Eisners”), The Quantum Age fast-forwards the timeline 1,000 years. Written by Lemire, the series is illustrated by Wilfredo Torres (Legion) with a main cover for issue 1 by Torres, and a variant by Christian Ward. Retailers who order 10 or more copies A and B qualify their order for full returnability.

In a future far-flung from the Black Hammer Farm, a group of superheroes, inspired by the legendary icons, must save their planet from an oppressive government. Reforming the Quantum League falls to a young Martian, who is also trying to figure out what happened to the great 20th Century heroes who disappeared.
