Hawkins has 20 years experience in the comic industry, working for Marvel under Virginia Romita, and later as an editor on books including X-Men Unlimited, X-Men Hidden Years, and Generation X. She later moved to DC where she worked on Teen Titans Go, Batman: Gotham Knights and Birds of Prey.
