DC Comics will release a collection of the Mike Grell era of Green Arrow. The omnibus features Grell’s original miniseries; Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters #1-3, and continuing series Green Arrow #1-50, along with an origin story from Secret Origins #38.  The volume will include an introduction and new wraparound cover by Grell with an afterword by original series editor Mike Gold.  Besides Grell, artists featured are Ed Hannigan, Dan Jurgens, Denys Cowan, and others.  The 1,536 page volume will go on sale June 24, 2020, at $150.00 MSRP.

Mike Grell’s original miniseries Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters was one of the first Prestige Format miniseries DC released after the Frank Miller classic The Dark Knight Returns (see "'Golden Child' Ushers In Next Chapter of 'Dark Knight Returns'") and was highly anticipated as a new direction for the forty-six-year-old character. Grell moved Oliver Queen to Seattle, Washington, where he gives up his trick arrows, slick Neal Adams-designed suit, and settles in with Dinah Lance.  The Longbow Hunters introduced the Yakuza assassin Shado, who would continue in DC titles as well as being featured on the CW Arrow TV series.  The miniseries was popular enough to launch a continuing series that ran for eleven years. Grell’s run on Green Arrow would last 80 issues from 1988 to 1993, along with the miniseries Green Arrow: The Wonder Year in 1992.

The Fall season of Arrow premieres on the CW on October 15 (see "CW’s Fall Premiere Dates").
