Players will follow in Marco Polo’s footsteps by establishing trading posts, completing contracts, and acquiring the goods and camels needed to complete them.
The game introduces a new guild mechanic that will give players access to otherwise inaccessible routes on the map if they have the right guild memberships. In the Service of the Khan will include a game board, a first player hourglass marker, 4 player boards, 7 city bonus markers, 7 character tiles, 10 outpost bonus tiles, 16 guild seals, 18 officer tiles, 49 contracts, 68 coins, 4 50/100 point cards, 14 goal cards, 25 city cards, 18 gold bars, 18 silk bundles, 19 pepper bags, 26 jade pieces, 26 camels, 12 figures, 26 dice, 44 trading posts, 4 players aids, a rulebook, and a supplement.
Marco Polo II: In the Service of the Khan is for 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 120 minutes. The game will retail for $69.99 and ship in 2020.
