CD Projekt Red has announced a delay in the release date for Cyberpunk 2077, the eagerly awaited RPG videogame originally planned for April. The new release date is September 17, 2020.
A large-scale program of related goods, including tabletop RPGs, a card game, a lore book, and figures were all scheduled based on the April release date, so we expect movement on a significant number of product release dates as a result of this change.
R. Talsorian Games has been releasing a stream of products tied to Cyberpunk Red, the new edition of its classic tabletop roleplaying game (see "’Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart Kit"). It’s set between Cyberpunk 2020 RPG and the CD Projekt Red videogame.
Dark Horse Comics planned to release The World of Cyberpunk 2077, a lore book for the videogame, on April 21, five days after the originally planned release of the game (see "Dark Horse To Publish ‘The World of Cyberpunk 2077’").
CMON’s Cyberpunk 20177 – Afterlife: The Card Game, a new card game created by Eric M. Lang and Andrea Chiarvesio, was planned for 2020 release (see "’Cyberpunk 20177 – Afterlife: The Card Game’").
And McFarlane Toys planned to start releasing a range of figures this Spring (see "McFarlane Toys Acquires CD Projekt Red’s ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ License for Figures").
