Academy Games announced One Small Step, a space race board game, for release into retail on November 20.

In One Small Step, players take charge of the U.S. and U.S.S.R. Space Agencies in a race to land on the moon. This is a team Eurostyle worker-placement game where teammates  use worker tokens  to  gather  resources, draft cards,  boost media coverage, recruit astronauts, and expand  space  flight  capability. Ultimately, their goal is to launch Missions into space, and first team to land a Crewed Mission on the Moon ends the game. Victory points are then tallied up, and the team with the most Victory points wins.

This game is for two to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 60 to 120 minutes. It will retail for $70.00.

Rio Grande Games also announced game in the space worker placement category called Beyond the Sun (see "Rio Grande Games Takes Humanity 'Beyond the Sun' ").
