A new printing of 50,000 copies of IDW Publishing's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin will be shipping to retailers for release next week, bringing the total number of copies in print to 180,000, an IDW spokesperson told ICv2. Approximately 37,000 of the 50,000 copy second printing are already on order, the company said in an announcement of the second printing size, which is the largest second printing in the history of the company.
Based on a 33-year-old story by franchise creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the oversized first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin (see "’TMNT: The Last Ronin") was released on October 28. The second printing will street December 9; issue #2 will be released January 27.
