DC will release Batman: The Long Halloween Special, a new 48-page, prestige format comic by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, on October 12. Loeb and Sale created the original story in a 13-issue comic series published in 1996 and 1997, which will be published in a new deluxe edition with bonus material this fall (see "Deluxe Edition of ‘Batman: The Long Halloween’").
Both releases (Deluxe Ediition and Special) build on the interest created by the release on Blue-ray digital of two animated features this summer (see "’Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 2").
The comic special will carry an A cover, a variant cover, and a 1:25 cover, all by Tim Sale. MSRP will be $7.99.
