The Rocky Horror Picture Show was initially a flop on the large screen, but it built a cult following and is now the longest-running film in theatrical release. Caliber Comics published a three-issue comics adaptation in 1990-91 that was subsequently collected in several different trade formats (see “Caliber Comics to Offer Collections in ‘Previews’”).

Dark Horse has acquired the license to publish comics based on The Rocky Horror Picture Show, according to a report in License Global. The European licensing firm Golden Goose is handling licensing for the film. While the movie came out in 1975, the musical it was based on premiered in 1973, and licensors are gearing up for a 50th anniversary celebration.
