Another year is almost over, and it's time to take a look at possible TCG gifts for refined collectors and the stalwart players. It has been another formative year for TCGs, as each of the Big Three companies (see "The Big Three Rule Again") have been shifting gears to accommodate the ever-changing TCG landscape. All three companies have been running their printers non-stop since 2020, but it seems that some of the hottest in the TCG market is starting to cool a little towards the end of 2022 (see "Hasbro Game Sales Down 23% in Q3").

With this in mind, retailers should be seeking the Best of the Best to offer their customers as gift purchases. There is a lot of "fluff" out there in the TCG market right now, and it is a good business practice to do a little research and get picky about what to carry when it comes to TCGs. This is the time of year to clear out non-sellers and go big on the most-celebrated TCG items released in 2022 in an attempt to rake in big sales.
