Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin was one of the top selling franchises of 2022, both as single-issue comics and as a graphic novel (see “‘TMNT: The Last Ronin’ Goes Back to Press for Additional 100K Copies”), and now IDW Publishing has announced a new collection of the covers for the series.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin—The Covers will be a 200-page hardcover containing over 100 covers from the five-issue series, including work by TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman, series artists Ben Bishop and Esau & Isaac Escorza, and a host of other artists, including Stan Sakai, Peach Momoko, Simon Bisley, Sophie Campbell, and Amanda Conner. The book will go on sale on June 13, 2023, with an MSRP of $39.99.

Why so many covers for a five-issue series? “All five issues of The Last Ronin came with absolutely insane artwork on hundreds of incredible variant covers—not only from top established legendary creators who may have been drawing TMNT their whole lives but from up-and-coming creators and everyone in between,” said Bishop in a statement accompanying the announcement. “A cover for The Last Ronin was an opportunity, and every artist knew it and wanted to be a part of it.”
