Doomtown was last "reloaded" in 2014 with a new version of the classic card game (see "'Doomtown: Reloaded'"). Pine Box Entertainment entered the picture as a design studio, partnered with Pinnacle Entertainment Group, that helped publish Doomtown: Reloaded post-AEG (see "'There Comes a Reckoning' for 'Doomtown: Reloaded'"). This version of Doomtown saw several expansions, leading up to 2019's (see "'Doomtown: Out for Blood'"). The new base is aimed at entry level players and includes two of each card, which allows players to build up to three playable decks. Pine Box recommends purchasing two Base Sets so that players can simultaneously build at least one deck from all six factions to accommodate up to 6 players.
The game box comes with 544 total Doomtown cards, punchboard tokens, a revamped rulebook, 4 Town Square cards, 11 Event cards, and a dude for the Boss Battle. This game is for one to six players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 30 to 60 minutes.
