Starting in April, Marvel Comics will launch a new imprint for its comics that tie into 20th Century Studios movies.

The 20th Century Studios imprint will launch with Marvel’s new Planet of the Apes comics (see “Marvel’s Updated ‘Planet of the Apes’ to Be Set in Same World as the Movies”), by writer David Walker and artist David Wachter.  The first issue, due out on April 5, will be the first comic to bear the new imprint.  The next two will be Alien #1 (see “New ‘Alien’ Ongoing Series”) and Predator #2 (see “New ‘Predator’ Series”).

"Ever since we announced our Alien and Predator comics, we hoped to create a special space within our comics line to go even bigger and bolder and keep building on the iconic moments from these properties that we all know and love," said C.B. Cebulski, Editor-in-Chief, Marvel Comics, in a statement accompanying the announcement.  "This 20th Century Studios comics imprint, in collaboration with our friends at 20th Century Studios, is the perfect way to do that."
