A new graphic novel will tell the story behind the stories of director Quentin Tarantino, depicting his early life and his years working on the films that made him famous, including Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Titan Comics will publish Quentin by Tarantino, by Ameziane Amazing, on October 17, 2023, as a 228-page paperback with an MSRP of $24.99.
"Quentin Tarantino is arguably the last great celebrity director, a creator who's almost as recognisable as the hugely influential and iconic pop-culture moments that he's brought to movie screens over the past four decades,” Titan Comics’ Head of Creative & Business Development Duncan Baizley said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “His movies are love letters to the genres, directors and stars, as well as the books and comics he grew up with.”
Tarantino co-plotted a comics crossover of his film Django Unchained with Zorro for Dynamite Entertainment (see “Quentin Tarantino to Co-Plot Django/Zorro Crossover”).
Amazing was the artist for Muhammad Ali, a graphic biography published by Dark Horse Comics (see “‘Muhammad Ali’ Gets Graphic Biography”).
