Comix writer, artist, and historian Trina Robbins is editing an anthology of comics about pregnancy, abortion, and the impact of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. The anthology, Won’t Back Down! is being crowdfunded with a campaign on Zoop that includes a retailer tier. The book is complete, with delivery anticipated for Fall 2023; the crowdfunding campaign, which lasts until April 24, 2023, will pay for printing and other production costs, with profits from sales of the book going to Planned Parenthood.

Robbins, who was inducted into the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame in 2013, won a 2021 Eisner Award for The Flapper Queens: Women Cartoonists of the Jazz Age. Her most recent book is a biography of cartoonist Gladys Parker (see “Trina Robbins to Pen Bio of ‘Mopsy’ Creator Gladys Parker”).
