Cassius Marsh Sr., former NFL outside linebacker and now owner of  Cash Cards Unlimited, has offered up a $500,000 bounty for The One Ring (001/001) card.  The bounty was announced to the public via his Twitter account (see below).

Marsh Sr. had initially offered $150,000, a flight to California, and a "good time" in LA to the person that secured The One Ring.  After receiving feedback from fans, he upped the ante to $500,000 for the card.  The One Ring 001/001 card can be pulled from English Collector Packs in the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond: The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set (see "'Lord of the Rings' Cards").

The $500,000 bounty sets a real baseline value for this ultra rare card.  This offer seems in line with some of the other Magic ultra rare cards.  As a comparison, a signed artist proof Black Lotus, of which there are very few of in existence, hammered recently for $615,000 (see "'Magic: The Gathering' Black Lotus"), and PSA Gem Mint 10 Alpha Black Lotus cards have fetched over $500,000 (see "Alpha Black Lotus Goes for $511.1K").
