Wizards of the Coast teased the themes of Magic: The Gathering sets that will release in 2025 through 2026.

At a Gen Con 2023 panel, WotC previewed the 2024 line up of Magic sets (see "2024 'Magic: The Gathering' Releases"). They also released project names for various upcoming sets from the years 2025 to 2026 at this event. WotC recently circled back around to the project names they announced and offered up more details on the themes of these sets:

  • Innistrad Remastered (2025). As noted previously, this is another Remastered set, much like Dominaria Remastered (see "'Magic: The Gathering: Dominaria Remastered' Product Line"). This time they are returning to the Innistrad plane, which has already been featured in six sets previously (see "'Innistrad'").
  • Tennis (2025). At its current stage of development, it will be a set revolving around a "multiplanar twist on the racing genre."
  • Ultimate (2025). WotC heads back to Tarkir for the first time in 10 years (see "Khans of Tarkir").
  • Volleyball (2025). This premier set will be science fiction themed, possibly a space opera.
  • Wrestling (2025). WotC returns to Lorwyn for the first time in 15 years with this set (see "'Lorwyn'").
  • Yachting (2026). This set may involve at return to Arcavios, and another trip to Strixhaven (see "'Strixhaven: School of Mages'").
  • Ziplining (2026). It will be an story event-based set, much like War of the Spark (see "'War of the Spark'").

These are the themes of these future project sets as of the publication of this article and may change over time.
