A new villain enters the fray in Marvel Comics' Giant-Size Hulk #1, by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Andrea Broccardo.  Johnson, the current writer for the ongoing Incredible Hulk series, plans to bring his horror-inflected storytelling to the oversize issue, which has the Hulk riding the rails and facing off with a new foe, Patchwork Jack.  The issue will also reprint a classic story by Peter David and Dale Keown from Incredible Hulk #372. Giant-Size Hulk #1 will be released on April 3, 2024 with a cover by Bryan Hitch.

“The story we’re telling in Giant-Size Hulk #1 has been in the back of my mind since I started writing the series, just waiting for the right moment to be told,” Johnson said in a statement accompanying the announcement.  “It sums up the horror-driven direction of the book, and features some of the most haunting and explosive visuals we’ve seen so far.  It also features the first-ever appearance of a horrifying new character: Patchwork Jack, who I can't wait for readers to meet.”

Marvel is marking the 50th anniversary of the first Giant-Size comics with a new set of Giant-Size comics, each including a new and a classic story and all with covers by Bryan Hitch (see “Marvel Celebrates Anniversary of Giant-Size Comics with More Giant-Size Comics”).
