Wizards of the Coast kicked off the return of Standard Showdown events, for Magic: The Gathering, by revealing lunar new year promos. These cards are to be given out at the first Standard Showdown in-store events.
The first weekend of Standard Showdown, which occurs from February 9-18, 2024, features two new Year of the Dragon promo cards. The promo cards will be alternate art versions of Dragonlord's Servant and Sarkhan Unbroken. These promos will be shipped to retailers with their Murders at Karlov Manor promotional kit. Also, if a retailer runs two or more Standard Showdown events during the month of February, they will qualify to receive an oversized Magic card to be displayed in store. The oversized card will be shipped with the Outlaws of Thunder Junction promo shipment.
Wizards of the Coast recently updated details about the upcoming Magic: The Gathering - Ravnica Remastered set (see "'Magic: The Gathering - Ravnica Remastered' Deets").
