DSTLRY has signed for international rights representation to all countries other than France with the Webber Agency, the companies announced. DSTLRY has an existing first look deal with French publisher Delcourt (see "DSTLRY Inks First Look Deal with Delcourt").
The Webber Agency was founded in 2016 when Jeff Webber left his position at IDW Publishing, which included international and digital rights (see "IDW’s New Foreign Rights Division"), to start his own agency. Webber spent seven years at IDW, and also had stints at start-up incubator CarbonSeven and as Vice President – Product Management at Andrews McMeel.
"Jeff has proven himself to have invaluable expertise in introducing new voices to the international market," DSTLRY co-founders David Steinberger and Chip Mosher said in explaining the choice. "We’re excited to see what he can do to increase DSTLRY’s global reach."
