The recently created comics publisher DSTLRY has signed a multi-year agreement with the French publisher Groupe Delcourt that will give Delcourt the first option to publish its trade paperbacks in French.

DSTLRY, which was founded by ComiXology Co-Founder David Steinberg and former ComiXology VP Chip Mosher, plans to publish comics both digitally and in print (see “Former ComiXology Execs to Mix Digital and Print with New Publisher, DSTLRY”). The company launched with a slate of Founding Creators, prominent writers and artists who will each have an equity stake in the company.

Groupe Delcourt, currently the third largest publisher of Franco-Belgian comics, had a deal with comiXology to publish English translations of French-language titles on its digital service (see “ICv2 Interview: Delcourt Group President Guy Delcourt and ComiXology CEO David Steinberger”).
