Skybound has announced that it will collect the original G.I. Joe comics published by Marvel Comics in the 1980s in a complete compendium, the first time the full Marvel run, including tie-ins, has been published in this format. The first volume of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Compendium will include issues #1-50 of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero by writer Larry Hama and artists Herb Trimpe and Bob McLeod, printed on newsprint for an old-fashioned feel. Vol. 1, with a cover by Andy Kuber and an MSRP of $64.99, will be released on October 2, 2024, in comic shops and on October 15, 2024, in bookstores and on digital platforms.
Skybound is publishing new issues of the series as well, picking up with issue #301 (see “Larry Hama to Continue ‘G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero’ at Skybound”).
