Chaosium Inc., alongside creators Wendy and Richard Pini, announced that they will reissue ElfQuest RPG.
ElfQuest RPG, based on the Pinis' popular series of comics (see "'ElfQuest' Collections"), was originally released in 1984. The RPG was written by Steve Perrin, Yurek Chodak, and Sandy Petersen, with a cover by Wendy Pini, and ran on Chaosium's Basic Roleplaying System. The RPG also spawned several supplements over the course of four years, including a second edition. The effort to reissue this original book on its 40th anniversary is led by Chaosium President Rick Mentis.
“For years ElfQuest fans have asked us to bring the game back into print. Based on all we’ve learned from our previous Classic projects we are ready to add ElfQuest Classic as the next in this series," said Mentis. "We all look forward to revisiting, rediscovering, and further exploring the Pinis’ World of Two Moons.”
Chaosium will launch a Kickstarter campaign in October 2024 for the reissue, which will offer up the game in its original boxed format.
