Matagot announced Mission: Red Planet, a new edition Bruno Faidutti and Bruno Cathala's sci-fi board game, which will hit retail in 2025.
Mission: Red Planet was originally released in 2005 by Asmodee. The game had last seen a new edition in 2015 via Fantasy Flight Games (see "'Mission: Red Planet'"). The upcoming Matagot version features new illustrations by Derek Stenning, who is a video game veteran that has worked for Nintendo, Microsoft, and others. This edition still has the same game mechanics of previous editions, but adds a modular board, new miniatures, and replaces the previous steampunk motif with a more modern space age fantasy look.
This game is for two to six players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 60 minutes.
