Mad Cave has announced two new hires, one in editorial and one in marketing.
Editor Sarah Brunstad comes to Mad Cave from Marvel, where she was part of the editorial team for over a decade, starting as an editorial intern in 2012 and finishing as Editor in the Avengers office, working on high-profile series including Captain Marvel, Black Widow, and Aliens vs. Avengers and curating the 2021 one-shot Women of Marvel#1 (see “Marvel Announces ‘Women of Marvel’ #1”). She has a B.A. in English Literature from University of Tennessee at Martin and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Fordham University. Troy-Jefferey Allen will join Mad Cave as a Digital Marketing Specialist. Allen is a writer, producer, and former Consumer Marketing Manager for Diamond Comic Distributors. He was a judge for the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Awards (see “Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award Winner 2020”) and contributed to Oni Press’s Ol’ Dirty Bastard graphic novel, ODB: Oddities, Discord, and B-Sides: Lyrical Ruckus in the City (see “Oni’s ODB Graphic Novel”).Mad Cave’s new hires come shortly after Dark Horse and IDW announced layoffs (see “Dark Horse Confirms Layoffs” and “IDW Confirms Minor Layoffs”).
