The major trade shows and miniatures shows for Q1 2025 have come and gone. Now, it's time to take a look at all the announcements made over the last three months and pick out some of the potential hit products that have a good chance of catching the eyes of the discerning miniatures hobbyist in a retail setting. There will likely be more to come, but these products are some of the best announced so far.

These products are listed in no particular order:

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolves Army Set by Games Workshop. The announcement of this boxed set was probably the most significant Games Workshop news to come out of Adepticon 2025 (see "'Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolves' Miniatures"). GW essentially "went back to the well" on this one, and announced new miniatures for one of the most popular factions in Warhammer 40,000 that hadn't seen an update since the pandemic (see "'Space Wolves' Set"). Warhammer 40,000 fans love the Space Wolves, and always have, and this ultra-popular faction should sell big.

Conquest Cohort: Yoroni - One Player Starter Set by Para Bellum Games. Nothing says "sign me up to play" like a box full of Demonic Samurai. This ninth faction for Conquest (see "Demonic Samurai Invade 'Conquest'") is basically the best thing to happen to this game since they released the orks riding dinosaurs a few years back (see "Best Miniatures Sculpts of 2022 (So Far)"). The miniatures are pretty, it's an interesting faction lore-wise, and the sculpts are eye-catching. The one-player starter should intrigue new players, no problem (see "New 'Conquest Cohort'").

Star Wars: Legion Starter Sets by Atomic Mass Games. The most interesting of the Star Wars miniatures announced by AMG over the course of Q1 are the new starter sets for Star Wars: Legion (see "'Star Wars: Legion' Starter Sets Incoming"). Fans of Star Wars: Legion have been clamoring for a new entry point to the game, and these starter sets provide one for four different armies: Separatist Alliance, Galactic Alliance, Rebel Alliance, and the Galactic Empire. The starters are a great way for retailers to start building a Star Wars: Legion community.

Gundam Assemble by Bandai. If for some reason the proverbial memo wasn't clear, 2025 is the Year of Gundam. The preorder for the Gundam TCG beta set was insane, selling out fast (see "'Gundam TCG: Edition Beta'"), and the response to the announcement of Gundam Assemble, a new tabletop miniatures game using Gunpla models, was equally enthusiastic (see "Bandai Unveils 'Gundam Assemble'"). Gunpla models have been around for a very long time and have legions of fans. A game using those same models will likely be a hit.

Marvel HeroClix: X-Men '97 by WizKids. The X-Men '97 series is totally a thing (see "'X-Men 97'"), and this is probably going to be one of the hottest HeroClix sets to hit the market in a decade. The set celebrates the nostalgia of the 90s X-Men, featuring characters like Cyclops, Wolverine, Magneto, and Mr. Sinister. It is also a collectible product, which of course, will also drive sales.
