Burnt Island Games revealed How to Save the World, a new board game, which will hit retail on July 9, 2025.
In How to Save a World, players take on the roles of scientific researchers that are trying to save their home planet of Alarria by preventing a planet-killing asteroid from colliding with it. To accomplish this task, players must chose one of three routes to stopping the asteroid: blowing it up with a laser, deflecting it with an energy shield, or an evacuation of the planet. The game utilizes worker-placement, hand-building and resource management mechanics to allow players to attempt to accomplish the goal of saving Alarria. Players will need to make the right decisions, round-by-round as the asteroid approaches, to save the planet.
This game is for one to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 60 to 90 minutes. It will retail for $49.00.
Burnt Island's Endeavor: Deep Sea game recently garnered a nomination for the 2025 Kennerspiel des Jahres award (see "2025 'Spiel des Jahres' Nominees").
