Z-Man has announced the release of two games this summer, Beyond Baker Street and Aquarium, both of which share humbler origins.

Beyond Baker Street is a deduction game that pits the players against the inimitable Sherlock Holmes, racing to find the same criminal. Determining the proper suspect, their motive, and their opportunity to commit the crime is only the beginning. Holmes himself is working to solve the case, and players must find the answer first.

The game is for 2 – 4 players and plays in 30 minutes. It includes 1 Investigation Board, 3 Confirm Markers, 1 Holmes Marker, 1 Investigation Marker, 18 Character Cards, 6 Case File Cards, 24 Evidence Cards, 12 Suspect Cards, 8 Motive Cards, 8 Opportunity Cards, and a rulebook. The game will release in stores this summer, and MSRP has not yet been announced.

Aquarium is a fun, highly interactive aquarium-building game where players compete to have the best aquarium full of colorful fish by the end of the game. The game is simple to learn, and plays 2 – 6 players in about 45 minutes. It comes with 164 full-color cards, 80 beads, 6 player screens, 1 Market board, and 1 rulebook. The game will release in July; MSRP has not been announced.

Neither game is strictly new, Beyond Baker Street was a web published game, and Aquarium was one of the first games from small Belgian publisher Sandtimer. Earlier this year, Z-Man announced a similar release in Haleakala (see "Appease the Hawaiian Gods in 'Haleakala'").
