Mondo Games will release Fight Club: The Home Game, a two-player competitive deck-building game this September.

In Fight Club: The Home Game, two players face off as The Narrator and Tyler Durden, two sides of a split personality competing for control of the single mind. Players compete to collect duel-use cards available from a shared draw row. The Narrator wishes to collect, gather, and nest; Tyler attempts to enact destruction, mayhem, and hit rock bottom to achieve a measure of freedom from society.

The game includes over 140 cards (Basic, Sleep/Insomnia, Fight and Marla), a fold-out instruction poster, “slide” tracker board, and a tracker piece made of a very familiar soap. MSRP was not announced.

The game is for 2 players and is designed by Luke Byers and Jay Shaw. Cover art is by Matt Taylor, and game art is by Jay Shaw.

Chuck Palahniuk, the author of Fight Club, the novel that was made into a hugely successful film starring Brad Pitt, penned a comic sequel , Fight Club 2, for Dark Horse Comics in 2015 (see “Dark Horse to Publish 'Fight Club' Sequel Comic”).

Mondo announce the license for the game last year (see “ Mondo Launches Board Game Division with High Profile Licenses”) along with a game based on Jurassic Park (see “'Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene'”).
