Titan Comics and Alcon Media Group have announced the first Blade Runner comic series resulting from their recent partnership (see “Alcon and Titan Forge 'Blade Runner' Alliance”). The comic book series is written by Blade Runner 2049 screenwriter Michael Green and frequent collaborator Mike Johnson (Star Trek, Supergirl). Further details on the title, plot, and artist are pending. The series is the first release under the joint venture, which includes nonfiction books and comics and graphic novels that are canon to the Blade Runner universe.

The Blade Runner property remains potent. WizKids is releasing Blade Runner 2049: Nexus Protocol, a social deduction game due early next year (see “Find the Replicant in 'Blade Runner 2049: Nexus Protocol'”). Alcon also partnered with WizKids parent NECA on a behind the scenes art book for Blade Runner 2049 (see “Behind-the-Scenes Art Book Details 'Blade Runner 2049'”), as well as figures, die cast vehicles, and replicas (see “WizKids Parent NECA Signs 'Blade Runner 2049' License”).

Titan holds comics rights to several entertainment franchises, including Doctor Who (see “Preview: 'Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor' #1 & #2 Covers”), Diablo (see “Titan Comics Celebrates Anniversaries of Doctor Who, Tank Girl, and More”), Tank Girl (see “Original 'Tank Girl' in Glorious Color”), and The Prisoner (see “Unpublished Jack Kirby and Gil Kane Art Revealed").
