This book starts the next chapter in the crossover series (see "Dynamite Improves Cover Stock"), and features everyone's favorite Deadite-killing S-Mart stock boy, Ashley Williams, in a guest appearance alongside Vampirella, Red Sonja, and others.  This book is written by zombie-author veteran Fred Van Lente (see "Fred Van Lente to Pen Zombie Comic"), who also commented on the book:

"The first series had a kind of Night of the Living Dead feel, with small groups of characters in isolated locations, trying to prevent the zombie outbreak," shared Van Lente.  "Here, we open the world up a lot more with a World War Z kind of epic scope, as that outbreak begins to sweep the globe and consume it.  Battles between armies of living versus armies of the dead, armies of different dead fighting each other.  Assuming the artistic team doesn't murder me beforehand, I am excited to see what the fans think!"

The art will be provided by Vincenzo Carratu with coloring by Kike J. Diaz and lettering by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.  This book will feature covers by Arthur Suydam, Lucio Parrillo, Joseph Michael Linsner, Dave Acosta, and a cosplay cover.  Dynamite will also release the trade paperback of the previous series, DIE!namite, in the same month.
