Goodman Games has announced the Dungeon Crawl Classics:  The Greatest Thieves in Lankhmar boxed set, which will release in October.

The Greatest Thieves in Lankhmar combines a tournament-style adventure with a variety of gaming accessories.  The adventure, based on Goodman’s Gen Con 2019 tournament event, is set in Fritz Leiber’s infamous fantasy city.  Characters must first make their way through the cellar of the Thieves’ House before crossing the smog-ridden rooftops of the city in an extended chase scene played out on an oversized rooftop chase map.  The boxed set also includes a special stand-alone adventure that can be played if the characters die during the main adventure.

The boxed set includes the 68-page main adventure book, a 20-page booklet of player handouts, a 16-page player pack, a 48-page judge’s pack, a 12-page scoring sheet, 5 sheets of die-cut counters for tracking “Fleeting Luck” and resolving the rooftop chase, the 44-inch long rooftop map, and the “Dicing With Death” side adventure.  Produced under license from the Fritz Leiber estate.  MSRP is $59.99.

As a supplement, a copy of Dungeon Crawl Classics is needed to use the material in the boxed set.

Goodman launched a Lankhmar boxed set in 2017 (see “New Edition Hardcovers of Early ‘D&D’ Modules”).  The company has also announced a line of glow-in-the-dark dice (see “Goodman Games Reveals ‘Dungeon Crawl Classics Glow Dice’”), a “reincarnated” version of the classic Temple of Elemental Evil adventure (see “Goodman Reopens ‘The Temple of Elemental Evil’”), and a 5E update for Judges Guild’s Dark Tower (see “Goodman Games Obtains ‘Dark Tower’ Rights from Judges Guild”).
