Helen of Wyndhorn, a six-issue miniseries from Dark Horse Comics, reunites the creative team from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Writer Tom King (Love Everlasting) and artist Bilquis Evely (Sandman: The Dreaming) are working together again, joined by colorist Matheus Lopes (Shazam!) and letterer Clayton Cowles (Star Wars). The miniseries launches on March 13, 2024, in the traditional 32-page comic format.
Helen of Wyndhorn is about a woman dealing with her pulp writer father’s demise and his warrior creation Othan. When she returns to her family estate, she discovers various secrets in the enormous house, as well as finding that the adventures her father wrote about are happening in the forest outside.
The first issue has several variant covers. The main cover is by series artist Evely and Lopes, with a foil version also available. Additional covers are by Tula Lotay, Elsa Charretier, and Massimo Carnevale, with incentive variants from Clay Mann and Walt Simonson. A "pulp cover tribute" by Greg Smallwood is not yet available to preview but will be revealed near final order cutoff.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which began in 2021 (see "Tom King Pens ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ #1"), was Eisner-nominated and is the source material for an upcoming live-action movie (see "DC Announces New Movies and TV Series").
