Nexus Ops has changed hands a few times since it was first published in 2005 (see "'05 Releases"). In 2011, an edition was released by Fantasy Flight Games (see "Revised 'Nexus Ops'"), and the board game eventually made it into the hands of Renegade via one of their partnership expansions with Hasbro (see "Partnership with Hasbro"). The new version still revolves around the premise of players assuming control of a faction and carrying out secret missions and sci-fi battles all in an effort to control Rubium.
The new edition of the game features updated illustrations and graphics. It also comes with a molded plastic 3D Monolith and includes the variant rules from the FFG version, such as Team Play, King of the Hill mode, and the Deadly Vortex. This game is for two to four players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 60 to 90 minutes. It will retail for $65.00.
