The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is reaching out to the manga audience this month with two high profile promotions.

Two superhero properties, Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity War, take the first and third spots on the May graphic novel chart.

This week’s home entertainment releases include a rebooted Tomb Raider, a sensitive coming-of-age saga from Green Lantern scribe Greg Berlanti, the disc debut of the superb Netflix/Dreamworks’ revival of Voltron, as well as the third season of Syfy horror anthology series Channel Zero, and the second season of the new Berserk anime.

The new spin on Witchblade is set for its first collection in July.

This week's home entertainment offerings include a rare ambitious misfire from Disney, Ana Duvernay's A Wrinkle in Time, a disparate bunch of crime films including the Bruce Willis Death Wish and the indie black comedy Thoroughbreds, plus the latest season of South Park and the complete run of the Hulu adult animated superhero comedy series The Awesomes.

Bushiroad will release a Fate / Apocrypha Trial Deck+ and Booster set for its Weiss Schwarz Trading Card Game.

Comic shop owners know all too well that with weekly release schedules, the rare fifth release day in a month typically means slim pickings, and you can see in this week’s limited home entertainment offerings, which are enlivened fortunately by Alex Garland’s fascinating Annihilation , a new edition of the 1970s horror/mystery The Reincarnation of Peter Proud , and in I’m Dying Up Here , the new Showtime series about stand-up comedy in LA in the 1970s.

We’re moving into high manga/anime season with last week’s Anime Central in Chicago, and Anime Expo coming up in July.

While there are no big names in this week’s home entertainment releases there are a lot of decent offerings including John Francis Daley’s black comedy Game Night, a sexy Jennifer Lawrence espionage film, the delightful Nick Park stop motion-animated Early Man, Todd Haynes’ unjustly neglected Wonderstruck, plus the heavily-populated DC cartoon series Justice League Action , and the popular Nickelodeon hit, The Loud House.

This week's home entertainment offerings include the disc debut of the highest-grossing solo superhero film of all time, the latest season of the brilliant Adult Swim animated series Rick and Morty , and the final season of an adaptation of Terry Brooks' Sword of Shannara fantasy trilogy.
