At New York Comic Con DC Comics introduced two new titles for its "Dark Matter" line of titles (see "DC 'Dark Knights' Introduces 'Dark Matter'"), which have now been renamed the "New Age of DC Heroes."

The Unexpected will be written by Steve Olrando (Midnighter, Batman/Shadow) and The Curse of Brimstone will be written by Justin Jordan (Green Lantern: New Guardians, Shadowman).

DC also had several writers on hand including  Joshua Williamson (The Flash) and Robert Venditti (Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps) at the panel whose titles will be part of the "Bats Out of Hell" four-issue crossover event which will see the Justice League and Green Lantern battling the evil Batmen of the Dark Multiverse (see "DC Unveils 6 Evil Batmen From 'Dark Nights: Metal'").  The story will run across Flash #33, Justice League #32 and #33, and Hal Jordan & Green Lantern Corps #32. The four covers, illustrated by Ethan van Sciver, will form a mega-image.  (See Gallery below.)

DC also announced it will release a soundtrack inspired by Dark Nights: Metal (see "A Symphony of Destruction for 'Dark Nights: Metal'").
