Fall Hollywood news keeps coming in, and it's time for another round-up!
Media adaptations of works by Neil Gaiman have been paused in the wake of a series of sexual assault allegations against him, which he has denied, according to Deadline. The projects on hold include the third season of Prime Video’s Good Omens, based on the novel by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett; Gaiman has offered to step back from the series to allow production to continue without him, according to the report. The series was renewed for a third and final season late last year (see "’Good Omens’ Renewed"). A long-gestating feature adaptation of Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book has also been paused, by Disney, due to the allegations. The Netflix series Dead Boy Detectives, based on a comic series by Gaiman and Matt Wagner, was canceled after one season earlier this month; no reason was given (see "’Dead Boy Detectives’ Series Killed Off").
Destin Daniel Cretton is in talks to direct Spider-Man 4, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The new movie would be a co-production between Sony and Marvel Studios, and would star Tom Holland as the lead. Cretton recently left the helm of another Marvel project, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, to write and direct the upcoming Naruto live-action movie (see "'Naruto' Live-Action").
Amazon Studios announced that Jack Huston has been cast in the Spider-Man Noir live-action series, according to Variety. He joins the recently ordered series (see "'Spider-Man Noir'") alongside fellow cast members Nicolas Cage, Brendan Gleeson, Lamorne Morris, Abraham Popoola, and Li Jun Li.
